Well Established

Hornsby Denture Clinic has been providing patients with quality dentures since it was first established in 1987.

Denture Services

The clinic provides for all your denture needs whether you are missing some, or all of your teeth.

Quality Without Compromise

Our in house laboratory facilities use Therapeutic Goods Association approved materials, ensuring that your new dentures will be made without compromise.

Quality Without Compromise

Dentures should be comfortable to wear, help restore the natural movements of the jaw and provide better phonetics.
In addition, they must be compatible with the sensitive tissues in the mouth so that they are taken for granted during eating and speaking.
Most importantly, the correct denture will restore a carefree smile to your face.

Aesthetics

Your dentures should look like natural teeth

Stability

A stable denture is one that moves little in relation to the underlying bone during function

Durability

Our dentures are made from the best quality materials, with high capacity, strength, and longevity

Services

You will find a list of our services below with a brief description of each service. It is very important to seek professional advice before deciding on which treatment option you will proceed with. Sometimes there will be only one option but, in many cases, there may be a variety of options to choose from.

Full Dentures

A full denture is a removable appliance replacing all of the natural teeth and the associated tissues and is supported by the gums.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is replacing one or more missing natural teeth and associated tissues. It replaces what is lost and preserves what is left.

Implant Retained Dentures

Your Dental Prosthetist will fit dentures over implants to provide stability, increased chewing force, reduced tissue irritations, and decreased bone loss.

Additions and Repairs

Most broken dentures can be repaired and restored to their previous condition. If you have had or need to have a tooth extracted it is usually possible to add the tooth to your existing denture.

Relines

Restore the fitting surface of your old dentures, adapt them more closely to your gums in the same fashion as a new denture would. This can help reduce movement and improve suction as well as fill in areas that trap food particles.

Mouthguard

Custom mouthguard are made to fit the teeth and gums closely, offer greater comfort and protection than pre-fabricated mouthguard. Mention your club for a 10% discount on our club member Mouthguard.

Frequently Asked Questions

We hope the information you access will assist you in deciding what type of dental treatment is best for you.

  • How long will my dentures last?

The tissue and underlying bone in the mouth are continually changing. Over time your dentures will need to be adjusted, relined or replaced to maintain a good fit. Your dental prosthetist will advise when this is necessary.

  • There are many different treatment options available for denture wearers. A consultation is required so the dental prosthetist can discuss with you the best treatment plan for your individual situation.

  • We accept all Major Credit Cards, Cash, Eftpos, Cheque (By Arrangement) , Veterans Affairs, & Health Fund Rebates On The Spot (HICAPS).

  • With the advent of modern technologies dentures can be personalised to suit you and give you a natural appearance. Each patient’s individual requirements are catered for to ensure that they will be happy with the appearance of their new dentures.

  • Eating with dentures for the first time will require patience but with time you will be able to bite and chew more naturally. Your dental prosthetist will provide tips to help you adjust.

  • Will they affect my speech?

You may notice some differences in your speech at first but with time your tongue, lips and cheeks will become accustomed to the contours of your dentures.

  • Daily cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner and a soft bristled brush will help to minimise the build up of plaque and stains on your dentures. Abrasives in toothpaste can cause microscopic scratches that allow bacteria and stains to attach to the denture more readily. Your dental prosthetist can also clean your dentures in an ultra-sonic cleaner and restore your dentures to their original as new state.

  • This depends on your individual situation and should be discussed with your dental prosthetist.

  • A review of your overall situation will determine if any treatment is required. Your dental prosthetist will advise you on how often you should have your denture checked.

  • All our BPS dentures are guaranteed for up to 5 years. To find out more about BPS dentures simply ask your dental prosthetist.
